Dr. Girish Kumar R is a Professor and the Head of the Department of Political Science, University of Kerala. Before joining the University of Kerala, he served at Mahatma Gandhi University, Central University of Kerala, and Raiganj University. His research interests include International Political Economy, Science and Technology in International Relations, Innovation Studies, with special reference to Innovation Systems of the Global South (Latin America and Asia), and the development divide between the Global North and South. He has published numerous research papers in these areas and has undertaken research and teaching assignments at Cambridge University (UK), George Washington University (USA), and the European University (Italy).
