Committed to bridging the gap between science, policy, and society, our team from diverse fields engages in activities such as technology assessment studies, scientometric analysis, and social network analysis to inform policy decisions at local, national, and global levels. Leveraging the extensive research infrastructure, expertise, and networks available, we aim to maximize the utilization of resources to achieve greater impact and relevance in our research endeavors. Our Mission

  • To position science, space science and technology at the core of our research and policy agenda, recognizing its transformative potential for Kerala’s and India’s development.
  • To conduct interdisciplinary research that harness advancements in science, space science and technology for applications such as climate resilience, disaster management, sustainable agriculture, communication, digital inclusion, etc.
  • To promote collaborations between academia, government, industry, and civil society for co-creating policies that enhance Kerala’s and India’s leadership in the space sector while ensuring equity, ethics, and environmental sustainability.
  • To support policymakers and institutions, including the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), with evidence-based insights and strategic recommendations that strengthen India’s space capabilities and their societal impact.
  • To build human capacity by offering education, training, and outreach in space policy and related fields, nurturing a generation of leaders, innovators, and thinkers equipped to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the space age.
