Vision- To be a premier center of excellence in science, technology, and innovation policy research, shaping sustainable and inclusive development pathways for Kerala, India, and beyond, with a special focus on advancing space science and technology as a catalyst for societal transformation and national progress.
Mission- To position science, space science and technology at the core of our research and policy agenda, recognizing its transformative potential for Kerala’s and India’s development. To conduct interdisciplinary research that harness advancements in science, space science and technology for applications such as climate resilience, disaster management, sustainable agriculture, communication, digital inclusion, etc. To promote collaborations between academia, government, industry, and civil society for co-creating policies that enhance Kerala’s and India’s leadership in the space sector while ensuring equity, ethics, and environmental sustainability. To support policymakers and institutions, including the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), with evidence-based insights and strategic recommendations that strengthen India’s space capabilities and their societal impact. To build human capacity by offering education, training, and outreach in space policy and related fields, nurturing a generation of leaders, innovators, and thinkers equipped to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the space age.
